Mike was Born in Redruth, Cornwall and was brought up in Penryn. His first job was for Farm Industries in Truro. Then in 1976 he joined the Royal Air Force and spent 17 years in the service. The last 10 years of this was as a specialist working on a variety of medical and dental equipment. He saw service in the UK, Northern Ireland, Germany, and the Islands of West Falkland, Ascension, Sardinia, Sicily, and Cyprus. Mike trained as an Audiologist and for a couple of years carried out hearing examinations and dispensing hearing aids before returning to the Dental Industry.
He worked for a few years in Ireland as a Dental Service Engineer before he joined KaVo in 2001 covering the South West, then the entire UK.
In December 2012 Mike joined DecaDent with over 23 years’ experience as a Dental Service Engineer. He is a member of the Cornwall Railway Society, Cornwall 0-Gauge Group and Gauge 0 Guild, and therefore you will realise that railways is an interest and hobby! Other interests include watching cricket, rugby and football – though these days, usually from an armchair, and photography.
